2019 ART EXHIBIT

The Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge will celebrate the 26th anniversary of World Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 18th, 2019.  Now known as World Bird Day, the 2019 theme is Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution.  The Friends of Missisquoi will be again hosting the annual art show, which kicks off during the Open House.

Medium:   any two dimensional medium– oil, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, pastels, photographs or fabric-related and able to hang.

Subjects:

  • Paintings/drawings/etc.: Subjects may be birds* or anything related to what might be found in a landscape that helps birds in their migration, breeding, etc. such as at the Refuge– lake, river, marsh, forest, wildlife, insects, wildflowers/plants, fields, etc., and interpretations of any of these.
  • Photographs: preference for photos taken on Refuge, but may be from other sites that are local breeding, wintering, or stopover areas for birds* found in the Refuge.

Artwork can also be viewed and purchased during normal refuge office hours through July 19th, 2019, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
