2015 EXHIBIT and RECEPTION
Art Exhibit 2015 Registration
Open House: Saturday, May 16, 2015
Time: Art Show Reception at 10:00 am; Refuge Open House from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm
Exhibit: May 16 through July 17, 2015
Location: Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge, 29 Tabor Road, Swanton, VT
Medium: any two dimensional medium– oil, acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, pastels, photographs or fabric related and able to hang.
Subjects: This year we are focusing on birds, creating an indoor bird/art walk of birds seen on the Refuge.
- Paintings/drawings/etc. do not need to be created on the Refuge but need to be representative of the bird
population on site. - Photographs must have been taken on the Refuge, or from the River or Lake adjacent to the Refuge

APPLICATION OR THE FULL LIST IN THE MISSISQUOI REFUGE WEBSITE BROCHURE.

Artwork: All pieces must be matted (where applicable) and framed, being “ready to hang.”
- Stretched canvas must have “finished” edges.
- Each piece not to exceed 24” by 30” framed.
- Two paintings/drawings/etc. per artist are allowed. Photos: two smaller or one large photo per artist.
- Show will have approximately 20 paintings and 20 photographs.
Hanging fee:
- $15 per art piece. There is no sales commission fee.
- The hanging fee will provide the artist with a free one-year membership in Friends of the Refuge.
- If already a member, please designate someone to receive the membership.
- Sales are through the Refuge gift/book store.
- Upon sale/removal of an item, artist is asked to provide a new piece.
- Upon sale of an item, a donation to Friends of the Refuge is welcomed, but not necessary.
Drop Off:
- At the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge, during the following dates and times:
- SATURDAY May 9: 10:30-12:30. TUESDAY May 12, 8:00-4:00. WEDNESDAY May 13, 8:00-4:00.
- If these times don’t work, contact Carol Yarnell to set up a special time. Or at Village Frame Shoppe in St. Albans during store hours:
- Rules for drop-off at the Village Frame Shoppe:
1.) The artwork must be labeled for the Refuge Art Show.
2.) The artist understands that the Shoppe is not responsible for any damage that might occur.
3.) Drop off Tuesday – Saturday between the hours of 11-3, any week before May 13.
